A down-to-earth kind of gal, Auntie Eartha adds spirit to the mundane and tells it as she sees it. With a raw sense of humor, she turns routine into adventure, pet peeves into passions, and strikes home with her words. She doesn’t suffer misspellings, bad grammar, misplaced punctuation, inconsistency, or stupidity well, though she admits to making her share of mistakes.

Dear Auntie
ReplyDeleteI need help finding my drum it seems to have run off on it's own.
I do catch sight of it on ocassion, and even get ever so close to it. How does one catch the flame or can you only dance with it.
Dear Wild Eddy,
ReplyDeleteTo find your drum, you must first find the quietest place imaginable. Then listen. Place your hand on your chest and feel the beat. That constant drum can be your closest friend, and it can be a friend to others.
Now for the misspellings: its not it's (possessive), occasion.
You'll best see your drum if you close your eyes next to the dancing flame, just not too close.
